LIGHTING UP THE GIVING TREE

GIVING_TREE_EDIT.jpg

To celebrate the spirit of giving, we turned the lights on the Habitat Giving Tree last week, supporting the homeless in Byron.

Decorated by the lovely Miranda Cummings, she designed the tree to represent peace and love for everyone in the local community, especially those doing it tough.

If you’d like to support the cause and donate to the homeless, items can be dropped into Habitat Collective (right next door to the tree). The Byron Community Centre have suggested the following wish list:

Vouchers for…

→ Shoe shops, groceries, chemists or hairdressers

Goods including…

→ Razor sets, toothbrush kits, skincare products

→ Backpacks, torches, solar lights, batteries

→ Socks and undies

Thanks to everyone who donated goods and vouchers on the day. We look forward to collecting more for this important cause as the Giving Tree stays illuminated throughout December.
