BYRON'S ARTS AND INDUSTRY ESTATE

Approximately 1km from the centre of town, the bustling Byron Arts & Industry Estate is home to a diverse community of innovative, creative businesses (HABITAT included!). Here, we’ve put together a shortlist of just some of our favourite neighbours that are worth getting to know.

McTavish Surfboards

There are plenty of surf shops around these parts, but the McTavish Surfboards showroom and factory is a standout space that’s well worth a visit. The surfers equivalent to an art gallery, this is where professional and amateur surfers come to froth over the beautifully handcrafted surfboards, apparel and accessories. McTavish Surfboards is a unique destination, complete with spacious café and art exhibition area. A place where you can truly immerse yourself in surf culture.

Comma

As the name implies, '“Comma” stands for taking a moment to breathe and begin again – and after a holistic massage experience here, you’ll wonder how you ever managed without it. More than just a massage studio, this collaborative space is an expression of its locality – quintessentially relaxing, bringing together natural and all-Australian interiors. Designed so you can take a moment for yourself – no phones, no distractions, just you. Trust us, you will walk out of Comma feeling totally realigned and rewired.

Yoli & Otis

Whilst you can shop Byron’s most coveted fashion and homewares brands at Habitat Collective, we can’t not give mention to the uber chic showroom of Yoli & Otis. Here you can find everything from baby carriers, womenswear, kidswear, shoes and accessories, along with designer ranges from the likes of IN BED and PAMPA. PLUS all products are made from recycled materials, organic textiles and plant/herb fabric dyes – protecting the environment, our farmers and your children.

Circus Arts

Circus Arts Byron Bay is the place for the kids and kids at heart.  Whether it’s during the school term or school holidays, a comprehensive timetable of activities is on offer, including: full and half day circus programs; flying trapeze; free balloon twisting workshops; and indoor climbing & kids play space. Give your little ones an outlet to release that extra energy!

Stone & Wood

Possibly Byron’s worst-kept secret is its passion for independent and local brewery, Stone & Wood! And for good reason too. Is there anything better than a hard-earned pacific ale after a long working day or ocean dip? Catch up with friends at the brewery’s brand new state-of-the-art brewing facility and tasting room, hurrah!
